Manchester United will welcome Rangers to Old Trafford as the Glaswegians travel down from Scotland to take part in their first game in the group stage of the Champions League.
Alex Ferguson will certainly have his eyes on a win at home but may use the opportunity to bring on new striker Hernandez as Wayne Rooney would welcome the break to sort his private life out. Scholes will probably be rested as the manager looks to prolong his career but Valencia and Nani have been playing well and will probably start along with Giggs who will captain the side.
Rangers will have to play a cagey affair when they play at away at Old Trafford if they want to have a long run in the competition. They may not have what it takes to take the game to the red devils but they are very capable of scoring if they get a chance to counter. That said, Rangers can't risk allowing Man Utd to attack for the whole game so the tie could well be won in the middle of the park.

Stoke v Aston Villa
Barclays Premier League
Venue: Britannia Stadium Date: Monday, 13 September Kick-off: 2000 BST
Coverage: BBC Sport website, BBC Radio 5 live, local radio & live on Sky Sports 1
Aston Villa will check the fitness of Stephen Ireland, who suffered a hamstring strain in the warm-up to the Everton game a fortnight ago.
John Carew is a doubt after limping out of Norway's match in midweek.
Stoke City
Doubtful: Sorensen (elbow) Injured: Sidibe (Achilles)
Aston Villa
Doubtful: Carew (knee), Ireland (hamstring)
Injured: Delph (knee), Weimann (ankle)
The home side have reason for relief that Houllier is not in the opposition dugout, as he presided over an emphatic 8-0 Liverpool victory at the Britannia Stadium in the League Cup a decade ago. It remains the Reds' biggest ever away win.
Stoke were in the third tier of the league back then, and when Houllier left Liverpool in May 2004 the Potters had just finished mid-table in what is now the Championship. They have come a long way since Houllier returned to France, notwithstanding the fact they are still seeking their first points of the season.
While Villa have a new manager, Stoke are not about to lose theirs - Tony Pulis has ruled himself out of contention for the vacant Wales job.
• Aston Villa have only beaten Stoke once in the last six attempts: a 1-0 home victory last December.
Stoke City
• They have won only one of their last nine league matches since April (W1, D2, L6).
• The Potters have lost all three league matches this season. They have only once lost their first four matches in a top-flight season - in 1906-07, when they were relegated.
• Their only victory in their last eight league matches at the Britannia Stadium was 2-0 against Hull City in April.
Aston Villa
• Gerard Houllier has taken charge of 216 Premier League matches - the third most experienced foreign manager in the division after Arsene Wenger (527) and Rafael Benitez (228).
• Villa have only lost one of their last seven away league matches on a Monday - 2-0 at Newcastle United in November 2008.
• The club have picked up six points from their opening three matches, as they did last season.
• They have conceded 17 goals in their last six away league matches, including nine in their last two.

Five star Malaga romp home in thriller
Real Zaragoza 3 - 5 Málaga
Stadium: Estadio La Romareda, Spain
Attendance: 20,000
Match Time: 16:00 BST
Referee: Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz
Malaga stunned shellshocked Real Zaragoza with a five-goal blitz in the opening 34 minutes of Sunday's game at La Romareda before withstanding a spirited fightback to claim their first win of the season.
Malaga looked to be underdogs heading into the match having lost 3-1 at home to Valencia in their opening fixture and missing eight players through injury, but they could hardly have had a better start.
Fernando Fernandez and Juanmi put the Andalusian side 2-0 up in the opening seven minutes, both goals coming from low finishes from beyond the far post following crosses from the left.
The same two players then notched their second goals inside 60 seconds of each other to make it 4-0 with just 28 minutes on the clock.
Fernando made it 3-0 from an almost identical position as his first, heading into an empty net after Zaragoza goalkeeper Leo Franco had misjudged another left-wing cross.
Juanmi's second goal was a straight-forward finish after Quincy Owusu-Abeyie had burst into the area and laid the opening on a plate for his team-mate.
Former Arsenal player Owusu-Abeyie then made it 5-0 himself six minutes later, capitalising on an error from Jiri Jarosik on the halfway line to race away and slot home.
At that point the game looked over, but to their credit hosts Zaragoza did not give up and they pulled a goal back before the break through Brazilian World Cup winner Edmilson, who curled a low 25-yard shot just inside the corner
Zaragoza then caused some consternation in the visiting side's ranks by netting twice more in the second half through Marco Perez and Ander Herrera, but they could make no further in-roads in the closing stages as Malaga held on to give new coach Jesualdo Ferreira his first victory.

Chievo Verona moved to the top of Serie A as the only club with a 100% record after two games thanks to a resounding 3-1 win at Genoa.

Mattia Destro scored on his Serie A debut for Genoa after six minutes and it looked like it would be a comprehensive win for the home team as they wasted numerous chances in the first half an hour, but the Flying Donkeys responded well.
Davide Moscardelli brought them level on the stroke of half-time and further goals from Michele Marcolini and Sergio Pellissier in the second half earned them a deserved win which could even have been greater, had they taken their chances better.
Juventus picked up their first point of the season but could have had all three against Sampdoria as they twice relinquished the lead in an entertaining draw at Turin's Stadio Olimpico.
Luigi Del Neri's side, who went down 1-0 at Bari in their opener a fortnight ago, trailed to Nicola Pozzi's 36th-minute strike but got back on terms through Claudio Marchisio two minutes before the break.
Simone Pepe and Fabio Quagliarella netted further goals for Juve after the interval but on each occasion they were cancelled out, first by Antonio Cassano and then by Pozzi again.
Lazio fended off a late Bologna comeback to record their first victory of the season.
Stefano Mauri and Tommaso Rocchi had given the Romans what seemed like an unassailable lead with strikes in the second half. But when Gaby Mudingayi clawed one back for the visitors with 12 minutes remaining it set up a frantic finish.
The Rossoblu surged forward in search of an equaliser, with the best opportunity falling to substitute Daniele Paponi who, in the 88th minute, headed over the bar Luca Siligardi's dangerous cross towards the far post.
Lazio put the game beyond doubt when Hernanes struck from the penalty spot deep in stoppage-time after Daniele Portanova had brought down substitute Libor Kozak inside the area.
Bari continued their strong start to the season, following up their openeing day win over Juventus with a 2-2 draw at Napoli.
Paulo Barreto put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, but Edison Cavani levelled for the home side after half an hour.
Paolo Cannavaro thought he had won it late on for Napoli, but Jose Castillo silenced the fans inside the Stadio San Paolo with an equaliser within a minute.
Lecce completed a fortuitous 1-0 victory over Fiorentina as La Viola were left to rue wasteful finishing and a linesman's questionable flag.
David Di Michele scored the only goal in the ninth minute, but the hosts were forced to withstand near-constant pressure thereafter.
Goalkeeper Antonio Rosati was in inspired form, Alessio Cerci was the most culpable amongst a host of missed chances and Per Kroldrup had most to complain about when dubiously adjudged offside early in the second half.
Catania earned their first points of the season courtesy of two penalties against Parma.
Giuseppe Mascara converted the first in the 12th minute after Massimo Paci brought down Nicolas Spolli and Mirko Antenucci fired home the second eight minutes from time after being fouled by the hapless Paci.
Sebastian Giovinco got a late goal back for Parma but they came away empty-handed and even had Alessandro Lucarelli sent off in injury time.
Brescia won their first game of the season as they edged Palermo 3-2 at the Mario Rigamonti stadium.
Simone Dallamano put Brescia in front early on while Javier Pastore equalised midway through the first half for Palermo. Citadin Elder restored the home side's lead in the 28th minute and Andrea Caracciolo then converted from the penalty spot before half-time.
Federico Balzaretti reduced arrears with seven minutes remaining but Brescia held on for their first points of the campaign.
Botafogo and Cruzeiro make no mistakes
(GSM) - Botafogo remain in third place in the Brazilian Serie A following a 2-0 win over Sao Paulo, while Cruzeiro beat Avai 1-2 to defend their fourth spot.
Botafogo, who had already played on Friday as well, had no time to rest as they continued their defense of the third position.
Against Sao Paulo, Sebastian Abreu scored the opener in the 67th minute. Another 13 minutes later, Edno netted the second for a 2-0 final result.
Cruzeiro played away to Avai and goals from Roger (penalty) and Thiago Ribeiro were enough to secure the victory. Only Laercio Carrerinha scored for the home team.

Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon told BBC Surrey:

"We won quite convincingly at their place, though they had a man sent off. It's a tough game - I always feel Northampton should be challenging for promotion. They're a strong team.

"Tadhg Purcell is out for the season, Ryan Gilligan is out for three months and Marcus Hall is out for a month.
