Manchester United vs Bursaspor Match Preview

 

Manchester United were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw by Rangers to open Group C, but bounced back with a dramatic late win against Valencia in Spain. United will be confident and looking for victory here against a Bursaspor team who have suffered back to back defeats in group play. Despite being heavily criticized for their domestic form that sees them sitting in fourth place, United are yet to lose a competitive fixture this season.

Veteran winger Ryan Giggs will be missing for United and star striker Wayne Rooney is still struggling for form and fitness. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez netted the winner against Valencia and should play again here.

Bursaspor are yet to score a goal in Group C play and coach Erturgrul Salam will have bad memories of his last visit to England in European play. As Besiktas manager in 2007, Salam was beaten 8-0 in a UEFA Cup fixture against Liverpool at Anfield.
