Real Madrid vs AC Milan Match Preview

 

Real Madrid host AC Milan in Group G at the Sanitago Bernabeu. The teams are the most hallowed in the competition, with Mardid having won nine titles and AC Milan seven.

Madrid manager Jose Mourinho will be anticipating the threat posed by AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The match reunites the pair as foes, having won the cup together last year for Inter Milan.

AC Milan currently sit second in their group. The Italian team drew Ajax 1-1, and defeated Auxerre 2-0. Real Madrid are on course to progress, having beaten both Ajax 2-0 and Auxerre 1-0.

Madrid will be without the services of midfield maestro Kaka, and defender Sergio Ramos could also miss the match with an injury. AC Milan may also be without injured players Thiago Silva and Massimo Ambrosini.

Clarence Seedorf will play, and has the distinction of having won the tournament for both Real Madrid in 1998, and AC Milan in 2003 and 2007.
