Tottenham will be without defenders Vedran Corluka, William Gallas, Younes Kaboul and Ledley King.
Manager Harry Redknapp has said that the likes of Niko Kranjcar, Wilson Palacios, Roman Pavyluchenko and new signing Sandro will all start.
Despite playing their rivals, Arsenal will not abandon their policy of blooding youngsters in the League Cup.
However, due to an injury crisis upfront, Arsene Wenger may be forced to play first-teamer Marouane Chamakh.

MATCH PREVIEW
When these two bitter North London rivals clash in the League Cup it is normally at the semi-final stage, and they have enjoyed some famous last-four tussles over the years.
Arsenal emerged victorious in 1987 after a thrilling trilogy of games. The Gunners looked down and out in the second leg at White Hart Lane, but riled by a half-time tannoy announcement telling Spurs fans how to get their tickets for Wembley, they rallied and forced a third game which they dramatically won in the final seconds.
The two clubs recently met in the semis in consecutive seasons. Arsenal prevailed again in 2007, before Tottenham pulled off one of their finest-ever results by winning the second leg 5-1 in 2008.
This atmosphere will be white hot as ever, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will stay true to his beliefs of picking inexperienced youngsters in the League Cup, meaning Tottenham will for once enter this fixture in the unfamiliar territory as favourites.
